The Voyage of Columbus was created in 1992, a limited edition of 7500. The piece measures 9 1/2″ x 9 3/4″ with base included. This incredible work of porcelain is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. The bottom is marked with blue under glaze Lladro hallmark: #5487 with the sculptor and the designer’s signature. It comes with the original box but is missing COA. Lladro produced this sculpture for the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus and introduced this it as the 1st Limited Edition to The Lladro Collector’s Society.This is the most excellent example of the Lladro figurines, in soft pastels with a high glaze finish.
