The medi 3 C® has a dynamic sternum pad (cushion at the level of the breastbone), which adjusts to the various positions of the body when standing and sitting.
The ratchet fastener makes it possible for the patient to open and close it easily.
The medi 3-point corset is used for all indications requiring a partial relief by correction of the lumbar/thoracic spine and movement restriction in sagittal plane, for example, stable vertebral compression fractures of the middle and lower thoracic and lumbar spine as well as a hyperkyphosis in Scheuermann’s disease.
The hyperextension brace is also used for temporary postoperative orthotic care.
medi 3 C® helps straighten and immobilise the affected region. Furthermore, the materials used are water-resistant. This simplifies use in day-to-day life.
Mode of action
Reclination of the lumbar spine and lower thoracic spine and fixation of the lumbar spine in hyperlordosis.
Intended purpose
Brace for relieving load on the lumbar spine / thoracic spine (sagittal limitation of range of motion).
Indications
All indications requiring a partial relief by correction of the lumbar/thoracic spine and movement restriction in sagittal plane:
Stable vertebral compression fractures of the middle and lower thoracic and lumbar spine
Hyperkyphosis in Scheuermann’s disease
Temporary postoperative orthotic care
Contraindications
Unstable fractures of the thoracic / lumbar spine with and without neurological deficit.
