I introduced a new initiative here at SSP back in June called Shark Tank. Here’s a link to my original article if you missed it . In short, when we’re not implementing the Utility Network with our clients, some of us have spent time building forward-thinking solutions for utilities with new technologies. I’m happy to say that our first Shark Tank project has gone as well as I could’ve hoped. I’m writing this article with Aaron Leese, a solution engineer on our team. Aaron’s idea of using machine learning to improve the spatial accuracy of electric assets in the field is what we’ve been working on and I think it’s fair to say we’ve created a successful proof of concept.
