Directions for Use

Cattle (Dairy & Beef) Mixing and Feeding Directions:

Feed Safe-guard crumbles at the rate of 1 lb. per 1,000 lb. of body weight, with grain and forage to supply 2.27 milligrams of fenbendazole per lb. of body weight. Always provide plenty of clean, fresh water.

Regular deworming at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks may be required due to the possibility of reinfection. Feed as sole ration for one day.

Horse Feeding Directions: The recommended dose is 5 mg of fenbendazole per kg of body weight (2.27 mg fenbendazole per lb of body weight - 1 lb of safe-guard 0.5% pellets per 1,000 lb. of body weight) in a ONE day treatment. For ascarids, the recommended dose is 10 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight in a ONE day treatment. All horses must be eating normally to ensure that each animal consumes an adequate amount of the medicated feed. Safe-guard 0.5% pellets must be spread uniformly on top of the daily ration.

Regular deworming at intervals of 6 to 8 weeks may be required due to the possibility of reinfection.
