To operate, pull up on the silver D-ring tab and slide the unit up into the fully upright position where it “clicks” and locks in place. An additional outlet is included at the bottom of the tower for added convenience that is not visible above the surface.
A plug can be inserted in the bottom outlet and can remain far enough below the surface even in the "up" position with no obstruction to the unit's operation in going up and down so you can use it for other nearby devices that require a dedicated outlet to remain plugged in at all times.
To release, depress the button on the base and the unit slides back down beneath the surface. Tamper Resistant outlets are safe for use in residential and commercial settings.
