quot;Perfect Day" is the first single from the Duran Duran covers album Thank You, released by Capitol-EMI on 13 March 1995. This is a cover version of the 1972 song "Perfect Day", written by Lou Reed and originally released on the album Transformer. Lou Reed has been cited as an inspiration by several members of Duran Duran, and the album Thank You was intended to be a tribute to the band's influences, in the style of David Bowie's Pin Ups.
