Our Jolly Allotment Meditation Blankets are hand woven in Yorkshire exclusively for our Jolly Allotment community by Lorraine Lockwood, The Yorkshire Weaver. Each Blanket is made from 100% reclaimed wool. Reclaimed and respun into new yarn here in Yorkshire. These are super special blankets. Each one is unique due to the reclamation process. They are soft, weighty and textual which is perfect for meditation, snuggling up on the beach, at home or anywhere. They are all sized to approximately 152cm x 86 cm. Perfect for laying over the body whist laying down for meditation or around the shoulders to keep you cosy in lotus pose. Wherever you are with your practice these blankets are perfect. All our blankets are individually woven to order with love. There is a limited muted pallet of colours as we do not use any unnatural dyes. Every colour is not always available so Lorraine weaves everyone on an individual design. Each blanket will be made with yarn similar to the natural hues and muted tones like the ones in the pictures but will be an individual design. The Makers We are super proud of these blankets and the people behind their story. They give a beautiful feeling of connection, incredibly sustainable they feel so good to have around the house. The process is lengthy starting with the reclamation of wool from old clothing bound for landfill. The wool is then separated into different colours to avoid nasty dyeing processes. Then it is washed and sanitised before being respun into new yarn. Every part of each blanket is reclaimed and woven here in Yorkshire it is a true Yorkshire blanket from beginning to end. There is a limited muted pallet of colours. Not every colour is always available so Lorraine weaves every blanket on an individual design. The blankets are handwoven by Lorraine on a floor loom by hand here in Yorkshire. The love Lorraine has the weaving shines so bright so every blanket is full of love and pride that you can really connect with when you snuggle under it.
