Cambridge Kayaks Tie Down Bonnet/Boot Straps provide a simple solution to tying the bow and stern of your kayak down if there is excessive overhang when your kayak is mounted on your roof bars.
The kit comes with two tie downs - one for the bow and one for the stern of your kayak. Anchors are secured under the bonnet and boot of your car. Hooks connect the anchor to the kayak. This can easily be tightened using the ratchet mechanism.
The straps prevent the kayak from trying to lift or shift when transporting your kayak on your car and may be needed for longer kayaks.
