Along with the service, Houston Police Chief Charles A. McClelland Jr. Helped celebrate the grand opening ceremony for the HPD Museum and Officers' Memorial in the lobby of the HPD Headquarters. The annual prayer service is an observance of National Police Week dedicated to remembering officers who have given their lives in the line of duty to help make our lives safer.
