Beautiful Mid-Century Modern Lane Cedar Chest with all showroom floor labeling, guarantees, and certifications. Unique piece of Lane, based in Altavista, Virginia, Americana. Lane cedar Made and marked November 1959 . Includes lock and key. All the hardware is sound and in place. The lid and drawer open smoothly. Size/Dimensions: 46.25ʺ Wide × 16ʺ Deep × 22ʺ High (inches). This beautiful vintage modern cedar chest was designed by Lane Furniture. An iconic piece that has a shelf that floats out when the top is lifted. The felt lining in the shelf, diamond inlaid woodgrain front, and stubby tapered legs show quality craftsmanship and are in exceptional condition for age. The veneer on the top and sides is excellent, but shows normal wear from use with a few nicks and scratches which can be easily repaired. The interior smells of clean cedar and has no obvious mars. The felt lining in the drawer and the interior show no signs of wear.
